Meet the artist behind it all.
Heyyyy! Welcome to my site and so nice to meet you (sort of) and introduce myself!
I’m Jessica Braxton. I founded The Blushing Beauty in 2015 and opened The Estheva Spa and Permanent Cosmetics in July of 2020. Oh yes, we were a Covid startup and we’re still here thriving!
I have been in the beauty industry since 2007. After acquiring my cosmetology license, I went on to work as a hairstylist for almost 10 years. I always loved working in an environment that offered a variety of services including spa services. I began to do luxury hair and lash extensions about 5 years into my career. At that time, those services were not being offered around the New Bern area and I felt it necessary to bring it about!
So, after building my base of clients for lashes and hair, I started to turn my attention to the industry of permanent cosmetics. They were not much of a mainstream idea of beauty maintenance or an option around the New Bern area at all! In fact, some people thought it was crazy for me to even get into it. Since starting permanent cosmetics in 2015, I have fallen more in love with the truly dramatic and life-changing results.
I have clients cry happy tears weekly!
With an ever-increasing and busy world, it is becoming more of a need for people to be able to get up and go. The benefits of permanent cosmetics is life-changing! From busy mommas, corporate business owners, retired ladies who want less worry, to tv anchors, (yes I’ve done a few you’ve probably even seen on national TV).
For those who think it isn’t a big deal, I tell them to imagine waking up every day without any eyebrows.
Brows help shape our face and bring attention to the eyes. Eyeliner awakens tired eyes, gives some depth, and makes the LashLine look fuller!
To be able to offer these services in an upscale and relaxing Spa is a dream and I make it my mission to not only make that possible but to educate my clients about permanent cosmetics, make them feel comfortable, less anxious and excited! Over the years, permanent cosmetic works has began to last longer and longer for my clients.
I started offering ProCell MicroChanneling in 2022 and I have steady, routine clients for that! I love it because one of the things I miss most about being a hair stylist is seeing clients regularly and building those relationships. MicroChanneling/Needling and Hydrofacial in my opinion are top of the list- the BEST routine maintenance services you can do for your skin at any age!!! It’s all about natural anti-aging and super deep cleansing!
It’s been in my interest for a long time to add on services that help boost confidence and make women feel comfortable in their own skin. So as of June 2026, I am launching a Body Contouring Menu and the Hydrofacial Services!!

How I Work
No rushing, ever. I block real time for every appointment. I can't rush art, and I won't. If it takes a little longer to get it right, that's fine by me.
Everything is custom. I don't decide what I'm doing until I see your skin, your face, your features. Every person is different and I make sure you get what you need.
The space matters.This isn't a tattoo parlor. I built it that way because you deserve to actually enjoy being here.
